Can you help Sid Valley Memory Café in improving the lives of local people with dementia?
Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help us continue to provide emotional support, companionship, meaningful activities, trips out, games and reminiscence resources, and access to information and advice for people with dementia, their carers and their families in the Sidmouth area.
According to recent research from the Alzheimer’s Society, seventy percent of people with dementia have stopped doing the things they used to due to a lack of confidence. At Sid Valley Memory Café, we offer opportunities to engage in activities, outings and conversations which re-build self-esteem and confidence following a diagnosis. A third of people said they’d lost friends after a diagnosis. At Sid Valley Memory Café, we provide a friendly, social meeting place to make new friends and to chat to others in a similar situation.
We are all about improving the lives of local people and because we are a local charity, our work relies entirely on fund-raising activities, grants and personal donations.
