Memory Cafe’s summer street collection on Saturday morning (July 27) raised £233. 26, possibly more with Gift Aid.
A small group of just eight collectors raised an average of nearly £30 a bucket over three hours. Memory Cafe
Treasurer,Lynette Lloyd, said: “In previous years with 21 volunteers over four hours, we have collected £512.77 averaging £24.38 per bucket and this year we averaged £29.15 per bucket.
Therefore, I think this is a good result”.
Of course, we have to take inflation into account, but it was a very good outcome and thanks to everyone who kindly contributed.
